Myrtlewood Golf Club

Round two, three days later. Straighter borrowed balls, a little coaching from Blaine, and the moment curiosity turned into intent.

Myrtlewood is a straightforward Myrtle Beach course, which is exactly what a second round needed. Wide corridors, flat lies, and enough room to see the shape of a miss repeat itself. The slice was still there. The difference was that it stopped defining the day.

Two things made this the useful round. Blaine handed over some balls designed to fly straighter, which felt like a minor technological miracle at the right moment, and he gave a few pointers on the approach. A little equipment help plus a little practical guidance changed the tone of the round more than any scorecard could have.

There is no data from this one and there does not need to be. Its job in the arc is the decision it produced. Somewhere around the back nine, this stopped being a vacation activity and became something worth learning properly, which is why the next three venues are all indoors.
