Summary: LP's All Is Not Lost Tour at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville with TailGate orange creamsicle seltzers, PBRs, and a shared gummy.

---

LP walked onto the Brooklyn Bowl stage with the kind of swagger you usually associate with someone entering a saloon in an old Western. Within minutes, it was obvious why. Some performers learn how to command a room. Others seem like they probably spent their whole lives being stared at anyway, so they figured they might as well give everyone something worth watching.

The surprise was the guitarist, impossibly tall, dressed like an escaped member of an especially flamboyant ’80s rock band, and absolutely ripping. Together they had the room. From our spot up top, this particular cowboy was cheering along to every song loudly enough that LP and the guitarist started getting a kick out of it too. Those tiny exchanges between stage and crowd are what turn a concert into your concert.

TailGate orange cream seltzers started things off, PBRs followed once subtlety was no longer necessary, and we split a gummy for a little chemical enhancement. By the time LP was deep into the double set, Brooklyn Bowl had taken on that familiar late-night glow where the lights seem brighter, the guitars sound bigger, and everyone around you becomes part of the same temporary little civilization.

I’ve seen plenty of technically great performers. Swagger is different. You can’t rehearse it, manufacture it, or hide when you don’t have it. LP has enough for the entire damn room.
