Full log →- 2026.09.11 GOLFTEC Nashville West Practice 167 yd 7I best The selected 7-irons reached 150 and 151 yards of carry, with a best total of 167. The useful contrast is spin: the two longest were low-spin shots, while the 142-yard carry sat inside SkyTrak's ideal spin window.

- 2026.08.21 Five Iron Golf Nashville Simulator · Enough feedback to satisfy the tinkering part of the brain, enough unreality to keep a bad shot from ruining the mood. Probably a one-off.
- 2026.07.30 Myrtlewood Golf Club Stroke play · Better than round one. Straighter borrowed balls from Blaine, still plenty of slice. Turned curiosity into intent.
07 How it started
I had not played a real round in about twenty years. In July, on a family trip to Myrtle Beach, Blaine and Caleb asked if I wanted in. I did, badly, and three days later I wanted the next one. Misty was into it too, which is the part that made it stick.
So instead of grinding public courses through a Nashville summer, we bought infrastructure. A year of lessons and practice at GOLFTEC, a year at PopStroke, and Topgolf whenever the week allows. The plan is to learn the swing indoors, with numbers, and take it back outside with proof.
This page is the proof. Eventually.
